An Affair With Death | Poem

an affair with death

Tell me,

Is she coming?

To calm nerves, sing requiem to last,

Betraying, taking shelter, stage set,

Appearance life, experience serenity,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

Lost them, Destroyed them, Disgusted them,

For her! For her! Sorcery of eternity’s cell,

Hold my hand, don’t let me go; stay,

Prove your presence strong; play,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

Wife life; safe side, pain unbearable,

Mistress death; certain side, pain unknown,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

Waiting; writing; watering; writhing,

What; why; when; where; whence;

Time I count on you; count me in,

Lord I pray on you; mercy on me,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

Tell me,

Is she coming?

To soothe nerves;

To mark attendance;

To make love;

To undress stigma;

To listen silent cries;

To understand sadists;

I’m awake; wide; widowed,

Ease me; pain me; do something,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

Betrayed the God of death,

She loves me; a mere creation,

Betrayed the essence of death,

I love her; a mere desire,

Not guilty; not scared; not listening,

Patient in words, hell in veins,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

Call her; my mistress,

Call me; inhumane,

Call her; illusion,

Call me; cause,

Call her; taker,

Call me; giver,

Tell me,

Is she coming?

At last, we’re together,

Our affair long-lasting,

In words of my existence,

You, Deathra, breathes,

Controlling both, we vice-e-versa,

Tell me,

Is she coming?
